Changelog

What has changed on Vibe Code Awards. Only things you would notice — the plumbing stays in the commit history.

4 September 2026

  • Changed

    Makers are now Contributors

The same people, a clearer word. Old links to /makers still work.

  • Added

    A contact form

Questions about a listing, a claim, or anything else now reach us through a form rather than an email address buried in a page.

  • Added

    Listings you can claim

We can now add a project we did not build, credited to whoever made it. It is listed but sits out the competition until that person claims it and makes it theirs.

  • Added

A privacy page, and a say over analytics

We now explain plainly what the site holds about you. Analytics stays switched off unless you accept the banner, and declining means it is never enabled.

  • Added

Share a project and it looks like something

Links now unfurl into a card with your first screenshot, the name and the tagline, so posting your project somewhere actually shows it off.

  • Changed

Start a review by picking a star

Tap a star on a project and you go straight into the review form with that rating already chosen.

  • Changed

A menu button on smaller screens

The row of links under the header has become a menu button, giving the page back a whole row of space.

  • Changed

Awards now sit together on the project page

Every medal a project has won is shown as a shelf of icons. Hover one for the day it was won.

  • Changed

Projects stay eligible while people engage

The 30 day window now runs from the last upvote or review rather than from launch, so popular projects keep competing and quiet ones drop off.

  • Added

Your reviews appear on your profile

Everything you have reviewed is collected on your public profile alongside your projects.

  • Added

    Five-star reviews

Rate any project you did not build, say what works well and what could be better, and see the score on every listing.

  • Changed

Gold only, until there is more to compete with

Silver appears once a category has 100 listings and Bronze at 500. A podium of three means little when only three exist.

  • Changed

    Profiles now live at /@handle

  • Added

    Cumulative leaderboard

See who is ahead across a week, a month, a year or all time, alongside the daily medals.

  • Fixed

    Screenshots of media-heavy sites

Larger sites were failing to capture. They now work, and screenshots are stored far smaller than before.

  • Changed

Move a project between App and Website

Picked the wrong category? Change it from your project page. Awards you already hold keep the category they were won in.

  • Changed

Verified accounts can vote straight away

Signing in with Google or Microsoft is proof enough, so the 24 hour wait before your first vote is gone.

3 September 2026

  • Added

An account menu on your avatar

Dashboard, projects, inbox and profile in one place, with admin tools for those who have them.

  • Added

Reposition and crop your profile picture

Drag and zoom to choose exactly what appears in the circle instead of accepting whatever the upload gave you.

  • Fixed

Submitting no longer loses what you typed

If a submission was rejected, the form came back empty. It now keeps every field so a mistyped URL costs you nothing.

  • Changed

Light theme by default, with a dark mode toggle

2 September 2026

  • Added

    Award badges you can embed

Every medal comes with a share image and a badge for your own site, linking back to a permanent verification page.

  • Added

    Vibe Code Awards is live

Submit a vibe-coded app or website, upvote what you like, and the top of each category takes a medal at midnight UK time.

Building something vibe-coded? Submit it.
