How judging works

A competition day runs from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 in the Europe/London timezone, and the boundaries follow British Summer Time. At the close, results lock, rankings are calculated, awards are generated and published, and the next day opens.

Projects are ranked by the number of valid upvotes they received during that competition day. Live rank and vote totals are shown on the leaderboard while the day is open. When the day closes, each eligible project’s rank is preserved permanently — for example, Ranked #4 in Websites on 2 September 2026.

In each category, first place takes Gold, second Silver, and third Bronze. A project must reach a minimum number of valid votes before it can receive a medal — this threshold is configurable and starts at three.

Where two projects finish on the same vote total:

1. The project that reached its final valid vote total first ranks higher.
2. If still tied, the project submitted earlier ranks higher.

A project is submitted once and never duplicated. It stays eligible to compete for a configurable active period — 30 days at launch — and votes reset every day, so the same project can win on more than one day. Awards and rank history are permanent.

• One upvote per member, per project, per competition day.
• Votes can be withdrawn any time before the day closes.
• Contributors cannot vote on their own projects.
• New accounts must wait 24 hours before their first vote.
• Comments, traffic, and shares do not affect medals.

• One App and one Website per contributor per UK calendar day.
• Projects need a public, working URL. The same canonical URL cannot be submitted twice.
• You must own, have built, or be authorised to represent the project.
• Projects must be vibe-coded or meaningfully AI-assisted.

Votes, submissions, comments, reports, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited. Suspicious patterns — rapid vote bursts, clusters of very new accounts, coordinated voting — raise a flag for human review rather than an automatic ban. Administrators can invalidate fraudulent votes and recalculate an affected leaderboard; if a result changes, the affected award is revoked and its verification page says so.
