Privacy and cookies

Vibe Code Awards is a small site. This page says plainly what it collects and why, rather than burying it. Last updated 4 September 2026.

What we hold about you

If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider, and store them so you have an account. We never see your password. Everything else on your profile — handle, bio, country, avatar — is what you chose to put there.

We also store what you do here: projects you submit, votes, comments, reviews, and reports. Your projects, comments and reviews are public by design. Your votes are not shown next to your name, but we do record who voted for what so the same person cannot vote twice.

Cookies and analytics

Signing in sets a cookie. That one is essential — without it you cannot stay logged in — so it is set whatever you choose below.

We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and which projects get attention. It sets its own cookies, so it stays switched off until you accept the banner. Decline and it is never enabled. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

Who else processes it

  • Supabase — the database, sign-in, and file storage behind the site.
  • Vercel — hosting. Standard server logs, including IP addresses.
  • Google Analytics — page analytics, only with your consent.
  • Google and Microsoft — whichever you use to sign in.

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to advertisers.

Screenshots of your project

When you submit a project we automatically load its URL and capture a screenshot of the public page, the same as any visitor would see. We do not sign in to your site or capture anything behind a login.

Getting it removed

You can edit or archive your projects from your dashboard at any time. If you want your account and everything attached to it deleted, ask us and we will do it. Awards already won stay on the public record, since the verification pages behind embedded badges have to keep resolving — but they can be detached from your name.

You have the usual UK GDPR rights: to see what we hold, correct it, delete it, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
